VK’s Pre-Workout supplement
Last week big Nate gave you the goods on a few pre-workouts you should probably be using. For me personally I never liked or really used pre-workouts supplements before. When NO2 first came on the scene there was all this promise of energy and looking more vascular but if you’ve seen me after a hard workout and veins popping out of my body like a comic book character then that wasn’t a problem for me. Also I’m not a huge fan of caffeine, although I find from time to time when I’m hungover or haven’t gotten in enough calories to make it through a hard workout I’ll down some NO explode from the gym store. But with that said I find for a lot of guys especially taller or heavier guys the supplements Nate mentioned works wonders.
With this last round of bulking up I wanted to stay away from all that but still take something that would give me results. I looked into my favorite brand Muscle Tech and decided to try out Leukic hardcore. This was Muscle Tech’s version of scientifically engineered L-Leucine one of the more important BCAA if not the most important. From studying L-Leucine the properties I wanted from Leukic were already there, increased energy and an increase support for skeletal muscle while working out. I took it the last six weeks of my bulk as I was putting obviously more stress on my frame. I was doing sets on bench where I’d rep out 315 for two sets of 5 before hitting 365 for 2. If you don’t think something like that will stress out your muscles at their weaker points than your playing around with getting injured.
The bottle came with something like 180 pills and you take four pills with breakfast and four pills before your workout. You’re basically mega dosing on L-Leucine. The pills were extremely easy to swallow and honestly tasted like candy. You’ll notice your energy level rise but not in the caffeine I’m going to have a heart attack way, but in a calmer I got a really great night’s sleep last night and feel fresh enough to take this workout to the end. You’ve increased in poundage but you’re knees and elbows feel like they can handle the extra weight. The longer you take it you add extra reps and sets to your workout because again you don’t get tired.
For me the results were obvious I gained 16 pounds but I looked harder instead of the typical softer fatter look that comes with bulking. That’s why I feel that this product is great to take while putting on size or increasing your calories. The last month/ month and half of your bulk up, this will help you finish it off nicely.

it’s BCAA basically. why waste money on it? just eat more old good bcaa pills.
There’s BCAA in the Mass tech already, but it’s an increased level of a certain BCAA
VK, how should you feel after each work out? Should you feel like you are totally dead and could not even lift or squat a feather? I guess I’m asking should every work out be balls out intense?
That’s a tough question to answer, the longer you work out the less overall fatigued you should feel. It’s different for everyone, your workouts should be intense but after words it should pass within an hour when you’re done. I mean you shouldn’t need to be hospitalized or carried off on a stretcher or anything .
i read the muscle tech and optimum nutrition gold standard casein protein powders and found they contain soy lecthin. Is this a cause for concern and switch away from this or is this a common ingredient in weight gainers?
