This round of Max Out Music aint just for the gym. It’s summer, undeniably the best time of year for doing fun shit. Pool parties, beach parties, bachelor parties and weddings, outdoor concerts, beerlympics, jet skiing and boating, party cove, patio bars, baseball games, getting hammed at farmer’s markets, and so on. Non-stop fun, as much as you and your bank account can handle.
Music influences us more subliminally than we’d like to think, and catchy lyrics and fun, crazy beats always set the tone for a fun day/night ahead. You can’t not have a great time when you’re pregaming to some of this stuff, it’s basically brainwashing you to go HAM as you listen to it. I mean, as much as I like heavy metal bands like Revocation or hood as fuck rap like Project Pat, they’re just not party material.
Now, some these aren’t new at all and I don’t pretend to be a new music guru. Staying on top of all that and the daily Hot New Hip Hop surfing ended when I graduated school and had to be productive during the day. They’re all beats I’ve been rocking almost non-stop, with the spotlight on some artists I’d like to highlight that some of you may not have heard of.
DJ Main Event- BrunchBounce Radio Volume 15
I’ve been wanting to make this introduction to you guys for awhile. This is an hour long mix cooked up by my boy Main Event, a mash up of a bunch of familiar and obscure songs that flows oh so fucking good. The song choice, flow, and transitions amaze me every time, and I’ve probably listened to it close to a hundred times since May. It’s good for the gym, parties, chilling, sex, and pretty much everything else you can think of.
Hippie Sabotage- Stay High Remix, Your Soul, Show Me The World, Born To Rise (just to name a few)
I heard Hippie Sabotage’s Stay High Remix a few weeks ago and couldn’t turn the song off the whole day. I’m thinking it’ll blow up by the end of the summer as I’ve now been hearing it at bars too. Eventually I delved into the rest of their stuff and wasn’t disappointed. They don’t even have a wikipedia entry but you won’t be disappointed.
The Naked and Famous- Young Blood
Catchy, light, upbeat. Not much more to ask out of a summer song.
YG, Drake, and The Game- Who Do You Love
I love this beat, and everyone, including Drake, goes hard. Though The Game couldn’t help but show everyone up.
One Republic (Alesso Remix)- If I Lose Myself
Krewella- Killin It
Diplo and a bunch of other people- Revolution
Schoolboy Q- Hell Of A Night
Enjoy! Party hard!
